I’ll admit I’ve been bad about keeping up with maintenance on my old Patrol mostly because I kept putting it off and telling myself it’s fine for another few thousand kilometers. But last week the engine started sounding a bit rough at idle and fuel economy dropped noticeably so I finally booked it in at a place a coworker recommended near Mussafah. They did a full Abu Dhabi oil change along with checking the filter and honestly I wasn’t expecting much but the engine feels way smoother now and even the morning start-up rattle is gone. Makes me wonder how long it had actually been since the last proper one because the stuff they drained looked pretty dark. Anyone else had that moment where you realize you’ve been neglecting something simple and kicking yourself for it afterwards? Definitely not skipping the next interval.
